The primary responsibility for this position is performing mechanical tasks safely. The ideal candidate will perform maintenance tasks, cutting, welding, shaft alignment, bearing installation, and hydraulic troubleshooting. He/she will be responsible for corrective and preventative maintenance as well as construction duties including equipment installation and tear out. The ideal candidate must be able to work flexible hours, overtime and weekends when needed. He/she must be willing to work at all RoyOMartin facilities in Louisiana and Alabama.

The ideal candidate should have 5 – 7 years of industrial millwright experience. A good mechanical aptitude is a must. It is essential for the candidate to be aware of lockout procedures and how to use a MSDS. In addition, an outstanding safety and attendance record is a must.

A successful candidate will have a strong sense of safety awareness and strong communication skills. He/she must be self-motivated, dependable, a team player, and be a proven leader. The ability to multitask with attention to detail is critical for this position. The ideal candidate must display strong organizational, coordinating, and problem solving skills. A sense of urgency with the ability to work safely in an intense environment is important.
