RoyOMartin-OSB
Completed in 2007, RoyOMartin’s oriented strand board (OSB) facility in Oakdale, Louisiana, is the largest OSB manufacturing facility in North America. Its technologically advanced equipment is capable of producing a full range of OSB products, from sheathing to oversize panels in thicknesses from 3/8” to 1-1/8”. Each of these is available in 8’, 9’, 10’ and 12’ lengths. We also have the unique ability to cut precision-trimmed WindBrace® panels.
At RoyOMartin, quality is built in. Builders and contractors around the world recognize RoyOMartin’s Tuff Strand® OSB as a strong and durable building component. Uniform strand size and thickness are assured by quality-control procedures. Our OSB has a smooth finish on one side and a unique textured, screened back, nonskid finish on the other. All RoyOMartin OSB panels are APA certified and can also hold the European CE certification.
Tuff Strand® provides excellent dimensional stability and surface uniformity for wall and roof sheathing, as well as subflooring. In most cases Tuff Strand® can be used in place of structural softwood plywood. In addition to Tuff Strand®, RoyOMartin-OSB also offers panels for improved uplift and shear (WindBrace®), struc-one rated panels (StructWall and StructWall XL), radiant barrier panels (Eclipse™), Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)-certified panels, and pre-measured, pre-marked panels (Grid®).
Located on U.S. Highway 165, the OSB plant has easy access to the main interstate corridor to Texas and Mississippi for both flatbed trucks and vans. Union Pacific Railroad allows both box and high-capacity center beam service shipments throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico. For international shipments, we are conveniently located near the ports of Houston, New Orleans, Lake Charles, Mobile and Beaumont.
